May 19 2021 Tech Slang Lesson Continued . . .

Attendance.

Self Guided Reading Books 20 min

Group Work Activity - max 2 per group. From Monday. 

New Tech/Slang Words 2020/2021 for example "Cheugy" 


Using your phone - Office365 - Go to your 'One Drive' file with your group's - 5 Urban Slang words + definitions. 


Outside Chalk Activity: Write the word, full definition and sample 'proper' sentence using your words (one sentence for each word) in chalk outside. 


Again - remember - appropriate words, appropriate sentences. Proper sentence structure (intro, middle, conclusion) with proper punctuation required. 


Ask yourself - is it: C.O.P.S

C - Is each sentence clear?
O – Is it put into a logical order?
P – Did I use punctuation correctly?

S – Check the spelling 


Once complete, touch base with myself or Ms. Mackenzie and then once approved, take a photo and upload (from your phone) to Assign 8 > Teams.

Discussion and comparison to our novel - No Fixed Address. June 17 2021 Ted Talk Project Continued. . .

Attendance.  Self Guided Reading Students - 20 min.  Class to clean their desk and then move upstairs to the Tech Lab - to work on Assign 11 Teams. Students have already been provided an intro to this assignment earlier on in the week. Tech Lab Upstairs - key located in library.  Student Task - June 17th - goal today - to complete location of a Ted Talk of your interest. Watch and listen. Note down main points and perhaps 2-3 quotes you may wish to you in your summary paragraph. Complete your MLA reference sheet for this assignment (Instructions in Teams Assign 11 & work on completing your 2 paragraphs for this assignment).  Note: Last in class day to work on this assignment will be Monday June 21 2021.
