June 18 Ted Talk Project Continued . . .

Self Guided Reading Students - with their self guided reading books. 15 min. 

Class to clean their desks and stack chairs.  Then move upstairs to the Tech Lab - to work on Assign 11 Teams. Students have already been provided an intro to this assignment earlier on in the week. Tech Lab Upstairs - key located in library. 

Student Task - June 18th - goal today - to complete location of a Ted Talk of your interest. Watch and listen. Note down main points and perhaps 2-3 quotes you may wish to you in your summary paragraph. Complete your MLA reference sheet for this assignment (Instructions in Teams Assign 11 & work on completing your 2 paragraphs for this assignment). 

Note: Last in class day to work on this assignment will be Monday June 21 2021. 

Students who have completed Assign 11 may work on studying for their Math or Science exam. E.g. Justus, Noah, X, Triston (if edits complete), Jack (if Assign 11 uploaded to Teams), Korah (if Assign 11 uploaded to Teams) etc. Ms. Mackenzie can assist with letting you know who is actually 'done.' 

Kyler and Aiden F - to be relocated to the Resource Space for additional assistance and quiet space. Ms. Mackenzie will escort them and or take them out of the space to work via laptop (a few of which should be available via the library). 

Abby M. may require some assistance re: completing her 1st and 2nd paragraph. She has started both and just needs to add 2 sentences to each with a closing sentence each (so 3 sentences additional per paragraph). If she requires additional help from me I will be back Monday to assist her directly.

  Attendance Review of lesson last day: Great Drawings!  Back to the video - class discussion - what do you think the message of the video is?  What does toothpaste have to do with information? Why might the person be trying to get the toothpaste back into the tube, and what does it mean that s/he can't?   Attendance Intro - Microsoft Len's App - please upload to your phone. Your Len's App is connected to your Office365 OneDrive.  Len's provides a scanning & photo option that directly provides you an option to save to your One Drive > Lens Folder.  Practice Upload With Lens: Assignment 2 > Teams  What is digital citizenship?   Once complete: Information: Once it's out there.... Once you put your personal information out there, it can be very hard to remove.
